SUSTAINABLE PLASTIC HANGERS

Mainetti designs plastic hangers for the circular economy, prioritizing sustainability and minimizing virgin plastic usage. Our hangers are crafted for reuse and produced using GRS/RCS-certified recycled plastics, ensuring transparency and chain of custody. Engineered to be lightweight yet sturdy, our hangers undergo rigorous testing by our in-house technologists. UBQ™ MATERIALS

Mainetti utilizes UBQ™ materials in the production of our hangers. UBQ™ is a bio-based thermoplastic derived from 100% unsorted household waste, encompassing organics and non-recyclable materials. This innovative material seamlessly integrates into existing manufacturing processes and has gained traction across various industries as a sustainable substitute for oil-based resins. By adopting UBQ™, manufacturers actively divert waste from landfills and incineration, resulting in a reduced net carbon footprint for end-products. This approach fosters a circular economy by enabling the recycling of resources and supporting climate positivity. OCEAN-BOUND PLASTIC

Mainetti is committed to sustainably using and conserving our oceans, seas, and marine resources. As part of our commitment, we have developed a new sustainable hanger model that utilizes Ocean-Bound plastic. This material is sourced from deep-sea fishing nets and collected plastic waste found along coastlines, which are significant contributors to marine pollution. Ocean-Bound Plastic refers to plastic waste that is identified as being "at risk of ending up in the ocean." By incorporating this material into our hanger production, we actively contribute to the reduction of marine pollution. Mainetti is proud to be at the forefront of sustainable practices that safeguard our precious marine ecosystems.

WOOD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE

Mainetti offers the option to produce hangers using Wood-Plastic Composites (WPCs), which are composite materials composed of wood fiber and thermoplastic(s). WPC hangers present an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional virgin plastic hangers. By incorporating wood fiber, sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood, we ensure sustainable and responsible material usage. WPC hangers combine the durability of thermoplastics with the natural aesthetics of wood, resulting in a visually appealing and eco-conscious solution. Mainetti's commitment to sustainability extends to providing customers with choices that align with their environmental values, offering WPC hangers as a greener option in our diverse hanger product range.

ORGANIC POLYMERS

Mainetti introduced hangers infused with a small percentage of an organic polymer known as BDP, designed to accelerate biodegradation in a standard landfill environment according to the ASTM D5511 standard. This addition facilitates the anaerobic biodegradation process of plastics. By incorporating BDP, our hangers are engineered to break down more efficiently in landfill conditions, reducing their environmental impact. This enhanced biodegradability promotes the transition towards a more sustainable and circular economy by ensuring that discarded hangers have a reduced long-term presence in landfills. THECHA HANGERS

Mainetti’s Thecha range of hangers are made of 100% cellulose fiber produced from recycled paper. Thecha hangers are rounded and tapered to present garments in a flattering way. They are “three-dimensional” premium display hangers with performance attributes not found in a traditional flat paper hanger. Thecha molded paper pulp hangers are unique in the market with a minimal imprint on our environment. When combined with our recycled steel hooks, Thecha hangers are fully compatible with global recycling streams.
